Back in . . . Blue

Although Back in Black is a staple CD in you Terry Woods CD rack, but I am back, not in black but in Blue.

Blue.

Blue.

Blue.
Electric Blue, Navy Blue, Light Blue, Airy Blue fuck. I feel like I should be tripping over my lip in Forrest Gump.
Blue looks wonderful on the fair skinned to the golden tanned.

Emanuel Ungaro Spring 2007
Going out and looking for a va-va-voom dress. Something Scarlett Johansonn (sp) would kill with a tube of red lipstick.

Chloe Spring 2007. Need I say more. This dress is immaculate. again. if you can pull it off

Steven Burrows Sprint 2007. This blue is just eye piercing.
Blondes pull off this color beautifully as do women with deep dark hair.
again, either go very easy on the shoes or shock them all if you can think you can pull it off.

S/S 2007 Lanvin. This blue is so versatile and even utilitarian. Wear this with Chloe's old wooden wedges or this season's flats. If you want go crazy with bright yellow platforms.

And top it all off with these sunglasses with a white dress.
Happy blue hunting girls.

Rings

I have an obsession with collecting rings. big vintage rings to those stacked rings.
Here are some of my favorites.

Dior Joaillerie. it reminds me of a princess-esque hope diamond.

Louis Vuitton. Minimalistic chic. wear it with those black capes.

gorgeous gorgeous gorgeous.

Acrylic rings. I found these at the MoMA store and they are so adorable and fun.

A black spot ring is SO chic. i love love love it.
Urban Outfitters

Pomellato is one of my favorite jewlery collections, their pieces are so simple and they remind me of candy drops. I can wear one or wear two. they're so cute.

One of the girls i met in France wore one of these rings and i was suprised at how amazing it looked on her. it's effortlessly chic

:-)

Then of course. THE ring.

When are skinny jeans going to be out?

After 2 years but what it seems like decades of Skinny Jeans, people still are getting it wrong.
Yes. there are PLENTY of wrong ways to wear skinny jeans.
hate to be a wet blanket, but try not to wear them if you have saddle bags/big calves/short stubby legs etc. Hate to break it to you, but it looks bad. Skinny Jeans however, are flattering to all you Mischa Barton and Sienna Miller Types- with long legs or just skinny legs. there are some of my favorite skinny jeans.

Chanel Couture Fall 2006.
skinny jeans/leggings. worn with booties.
haven't we seen this last year? but chic none the less.

Miss Sixty Big TY jeans. i know they were like 2 years ago but these jeans are SO flattering, i don't know where even begin. They aren't exactly skinny skinny, but the fit is just perfect. these are by far one of my favorites.
You can wear flats with these, but if you want to look taller/skinnier what have you, wear heels. you can wear super high heels with these because the cut of the bottom can hide any heel.

WARNING: only if you are model thin. ( lets face it. clothes look better on the slim figured) these have an animated piping to them thats great if you pair them with those stacked Louboutins or epic sized Chloe sandals. And a little scrunch on the bottom so you dont look like a pair of scissors.

Now for fall/winter, sky high boots are perfect, and you can tuck those skinny jeans into these stacked Chloe boots perfectly!

This gorgeous See by Chloe blouse can be paired with any skinny jeans and platforms. The look is immaculate! well. . .
almost.

So until the skinny jeans pass away, we must make lemonade girls!

I LOVE NY fashion week.

updates/pictures soon.

Mens collections have been fabulous. everything is so . . . Mr. Darcy & Vampire Lestat

and for Fall RTW '06
Black is the new. . .black?

I've arrived at Bryant Park and I spy a certain marketing director of a certain magazine having a fashion faux pas.

Sometimes I wish I had a camera to take pictures of the parties that I attend, but It would not be very lady like to whip out my Cannon powershot in the middle of the affair. Besides. it doesn't fit in my Judith Leiber Minauderie. . .

Are overalls in again? I must admit I am guilty for sporting them on lazy days or around my apartment when I think no one is looking. But it seems that these trendy models have donned the watermelon spittin' corn on the cobb attitude and now wear overalls!

The lovely Ms. Fontana is wearing Dsquared overalls backstage at Celine. These overalls have that equestrian feel to them with the color, fabric, length (well they're rolled up i suppose) and the leather detailing. I personally think they're fabulous!

Ms Trentini is wearing Diesel overalls with converses and a simple black tee. Pair this with the latest It-bag, and you're ready to go.

The nouveau nerd? indeed they are cute and adorable. Ms. Click certainly knows how to spruce up the old. teeshirt + jeans.

Well, pull out your clothes from high school! because indeed there are ways to make them chic again.

P.S. These two girls are my favorite pair (next to MK and Ash that is). I prefer them to Mischa and Rachel, Nicole and Lindsay, and definitely Paris and Kimberly.
They are wearing Urban Outfitters at an Imitation of Christ show

Sperry Topsider

Sperry-Topsider is a predominantly performace shoe company for sailors, kyakers, windsurfers, powerboaters and fishermen. However, these shoes are just too irresistable to pass up.
Cute colors, cute prints, nautical yet girly and Oh So Spring
I can totally wear this with one of my white billowy dresses
or crisp city shorts!

I just love this time of year when all the spring collections are hitting the stores and you can go and run your fingers through the light fabrics. Just love it.

(both Marc by Marc Jacobs S'06)

Oooh Donna Karan. You are finally getting on my good side. after all these years.

Can anyone tell me just when those obnoxious big beaded necklaces will dissapear?? Jessica simpson should be tried for crimes against humanity. My eyes can't take it anymore!
If I see one more teenage girl with bangs and one of those heart shaped beaded long necklaces with big sunglasses and a gold hobo bag. I might lose my lunch from Pastis.

Perfume and Lempore

I want this.

This is just PERFECT for S'06

Love this nautical but still very very fitted look.

So youthful.

This is adorable

Nanette Lepore. I really like these pieces. My friend from Saks Fifth Ave in NYC has been obsessed with Nanette for ever.

The much awaited follow up of Monyette Paris, I finally had the time to snag it this weekend. The smell is much more sweet. Coquette is Monyette's interpretation of a woman's smile or wink from a distance, sexy, alluring, and charming. fresh yet classic. Scents of Hibiscus, polynesian florals, Gardenia, Plumeria, and delicate French Anjou Pears.

I also highly recommend Pink Manhattan, it has more of a peachy smell.

L'Occitane has a very very nice fragrance selection, I only wish they would have perfume oils too. The vanilla is absolutely fabulous, sweet but fresh as well, with a little bit of citrus. The Vert is one of my favorites, it reminds me of Bvlgari.

I'm probably flying to LA in 2 weeks to see their shows over there, I'm very interested to see the local designers. LA style has nothing on NYC of course, but it's always interesting to see whats going on on the east side.
